god of war 4

An animator’s resume posting may have spilled the beans on a ‘God of War 4′ already in production. Keep reading for the latest.
God of War 4 Confirmed Resume Rumor
God of War is a big franchise for Sony. Gamers got to witness the end to Kratos’s epic three-part story with God of War 3 on the PS3 and dive into the backstory with Ghost of Sparta on the PSP. Next, Kratos takes his brutal fighting to the PlayStation 3 version ofMortal Kombat, but as awesome as Kratos looks in Mortal Kombat, that is not the same as a new God of War game. Based on an animator’s resume, however, Sony might be more than aware of that and currently looking to give gamers more God of War goodness in the form of God of War 4.

The news comes from a freelance animator’s resume posted on Linkedin. According to his resume he worked on a God of War 4 game cinematic test at Motion Logic Studio, with Motion Logic’s site clearly stating that they are working on in-game animations for an unannounced AAA game. The pieces all seem to fit together.
But when news of an alleged God of War 4 ‘confirmation’ hit the web, so did statements from the animator saying the work he did had nothing to do with the game in question. Sony has not commented on the matter, but it seems a little odd to list something as a God of War 4game cinematic test on your resume if the work you were doing had nothing to do with the game. Maybe it was demo or proof of concept work? Maybe it was spec work meant to showcase what the artist could do if actually working on a God of War game?
There are no clear answers at this point. It would seem like a no-brainer for Sony to make another God of War game though. Kratos is one of the biggest characters in gaming and is a PlayStation exclusive. To think God of War 3 was the end seems a little foolish.
What is your take? Do you think work has already started on a God of War 4? Do you think this resume posting was for something else? Where would you like to see the story go in aGod of War 4? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.
