EA: Battlefield 3, FIFA 12 Each Sold 10 Million

Third-quarter earnings revealed.

Electronic Arts has revealed its third-quarter earnings for fiscal year 2012. According to a statement, the company claims it saw its highest operating cash flow in 31 quarters and generated over one hundred million dollars from Origin with over 9.3 million customers.

EA also reported that over ten million copies of Battlefield 3 have been sold, up two million from figures reported in November. Ten million copies of FIFA 12 have been sold across all platforms, while Madden NFL 12 has sold over five million. It was also revealed that Star Wars: The Old Republic has sold over two million units and has 1.7 million subscribers.


"We are pleased to report a strong holiday quarter driven by Battlefield 3, FIFA12 and a strong showing by our digital games and services," said CEO John Riccitiello. "We recorded our highest operating cash flow in 31 quarters and grew segment share in both Europe and North America," CFO Eric Brown added.

EA revealed that it was the number one publisher on the App Store in December, and also reports that PopCap, which was acquired last year, has grown revenue by 30 percent.
