Darksiders II Coming in June

Pre-order incentives revealed.

THQ has announced that Darksiders II will hit stores on June 26, 2012. The news comes via the game's official forums along with word that retailer-exclusive pre-order incentives will be available to "greatly enhance your experience" with the game.

According to THQ, the following bonuses will be available for customers who preorder: 

• GameStop: 'Death Rides' Pack featuring "multiple exclusive side-quests allowing players to explore more of the Maker's Realm and Dead Plains. In addition players will be able to aid an ancient Construct, battle The Bloodless and retrieve Karn's lost treasure."


• Best Buy: 'Angel of Death' Pack featuring "enhanced armor with an angel inspired design as well as a pair of matching scythes. In addition players will receive an exclusive purple colored visual trail for their crow."


• Amazon: 'Deadly Despair' Pack featuring "an additional speed boost for Death's horse Despair, that allows players to traverse the world at a much faster rate."

UK gamers will receive bonuses at GAME and Amazon while Australian gamers can pick up exclusives at EB Games, JB Hi-Fi and GAME. A full list of international bonuses is available at the bottom of THQ's post. 

Darksiders II will be released for Xbox 360, PC and PlayStation 3. A Wii U release is also planned, though no release date has been announced for that version.
