ridge racer on ps vita coming soon

Namco Bandai has announced that Ridge Racer will come to PlayStation Vita on March 13th.

The news comes via the PlayStation Blog, where Namco Bandai community manager Rich Bantegui revealed that the North American release will include "an improved frame rate and crisper graphics for an even faster racing experience than ever before." Bantegui also confirmed that the game will include a free pack of downloadable content called the Ridge Racer Gold Pass

A code for the DLC will be included inside the game for fans who buy the game at retail, or available free for those who purchase the game digitally. According to Bantegui, the pack will include:
  • Five additional machines: Promessa, Elenie, Dignistar, Fatalita and Meltfire
  • Three additional courses: Old Central, Sunset Heights and Lost Ruins
  • Two music tracks and one new extended music mix

Ridge Racer has already been released in Japan. While the game was previously announced as a launch title in North America, it later moved to the "launch window."

Ridge Racer will be released for $29.99 at retail and $24.99 on PSN. An additional DLC pack known as the Silver Pass will be released in April.
